The Wolven Path Tradition

wolvenpath File written by Adobe Photoshop® 4.0 The Wolven Path is a re-birth of an ancient Celtic/Druidic form of Shamanism, descended from North European traditions, which may have stretched in journeys from the Steppes of Siberia through Northern Europe to the hunting wastes of the Inuit.

The lineage and history of the Tradition is lost in the mists of history, which is brought to re-animation through the voices of the Ancestral Spirits, the Songs of the Time Before Time and the First Time. At the same time the words of these songs are related to the pathways that our nomadic ancestors took and the storytellers they met along that journey. If hearing those sagas they wove the words into their own stories.

It is an oral Tradition of saga and song, retelling the journey of the lost Two Leggeds as they try to find their way back to the Primal Forest.

It is a Tradition of Shamanic Art, not science; it is a Tradition of dreams not history

As a nomadic tribe their Pathfinders observed the world about them learning from the ways of the creatures of the forest and learnt these ways in order that the community could survive.

Many tribes learnt from specific totem beasts; our Ancestral sojourners learnt from and mimicked the ancient walker of the forest; the wolf.

At it heart is the First Song, the Lightning and the Ocean that brought the stars and earth into being through song, and how through the same song, the stars fell to earth to become the First Ancestors of the great Forest.

This Nomadic Pathfinder Shamanic Tradition follows the qualities and character of the wolf and incorporates those into a Spirit and Earth driven way of life and relationship. Within the Wolven Path is the belief that from the First Breath, the Creator sent a teacher to humankind and that this teacher, the First Pathfinder, was a wolf; Fao-lin Mac Tire. The people refused to listen to the wolf and it was destroyed and vilified. In response to this the Creator sent the second shaman who was the wolf in human form and so this continues the human wolf returns again and again to remind the lost to return home and this compassion will remain until the last breath.

Not all will agree or understand this tradition. We are comfortable in a song of many tunes and verses. We will agree that one song will call us home.

From these stories this Shamanic lineage of Pathfinders holds sacred it mission -

The Pathfinder Shaman of the Wolven Path Gyre stand together with common purpose weaved together with the threads of individual purpose, ancestral purpose, and the purpose of the Great Primal Forest that moves from each and all of our souls.

The fabric of this common purpose is felt within the blood that nurtures the world.

This blood is the energy of compassion.

This blood is the River of our Sacred Lineage.

This blood is the blood of the Ancestors that flows through us and to our Descendants.

So long as this blood flows between each of us and all our relations, from the Heart of Spirit to the pain of this world, we are one, we are family, we are tribe, and we are clan.

This blood binds us together.

With this blood we become a path, a bridge, allowing the pain of the world to be held and encompassed without fear and therefore healed – to be connected to the inevitable power of Spirit as it is.

As time passes, the web of life continues to change and as it does this blood continues to flow and nourish and heal; for the blood never changes.

As Pathfinders of the Wolven Path Gyre we continue to aerate this blood with the breath of love; the echo of the Great Breath; the One Song, the Breath of Creation, Life and Unity, giving this blood vitality required to fulfil its purpose – the bringing together of the Heart of the World and into the Great Heart. This is our work through, by and with Spirit.

It is to this Prayer we are called and sent.

This Wolf has links to Fenris, the Dark Wolf, son of Loki, who was made divine so that he would not complete his destiny, which was to bring an end to the gods (to disparity) and return the world to its primal equality. The First Pathfinder Shaman Fao-lin Mac Tire is buried deep within the earth and his messenger is the Twin Pathfinder Shaman Bran Fithcheak, the Raven, who holds time still and humankind in the safety of his dark wings

The Wolven Path tradition is one foremost of community, clan and family; where all interactions are based upon the interactions within a family or pack.

The wolf is the perfect parent; it cares for its young to its own death. The wolf values infancy and see the potential of all young as a blessing for the future not just of its own species but children as a promise for the future of all species. The wolf parent embodies the Twelfth Law of Shamanism “Children, the young and the new, must not be harmed for the continuity of life and the promise of the future is through children.”

Legend speaks of wolves raising infants and those infants changing the world. The Wolf sees the future promise in all

The People of the Wolf made an agreement with the Great Spirit; The One Above, to hold the Sacred Teachings and Memories of Astral ancestry for the People of Humankind and to bring home to the First Times, the Four Leggeds who learnt to walk on two in a dream of fantasy.

The Wolf becomes the embodiment of the Great Spirit’s guidance and presence and is the Holder of the Sacred Wisdom.

The Wolf is the Silent Teacher, which leads to the truth, even when the path to that truth is strewn with pain and hardship. The Silent Teacher will not abandon its pupils. It is in the silence that we are not deaf to the Spirit and in the stillness we will learn the steps to the Sacred Dance

The Wolf is the Psychopompus of the newly dead, leading the souls to be washed by them in the Sacred River. This washing eradicates all stain of mundane life; the wolf carries the lighter soul to its Spirit and thus to its ancestral home.

The Wolf is the Bone Collector, who gathers all the bones of the children of the earth and returns them to the Cradle of the sacred Mother.

The Wolf is the Pathfinder; leading us to and by the ways that serve us best, that keep us safe.

The Wolf is the Shadow Seer and has the ability and duty to walk into the realm of shadows to retrieve the lost.

The Wolf is the Moon Walker, that finds its steps along the edge of day and night, light and dark, having the ability to live in both.

The Wolf is the Sun Warrior, never afraid to fight the necessary battle and to be seen in both its power and its vulnerability.

The Wolf is the Joy Dancer, who feeds and nurtures with generosity and sacrifice, whilst revelling in the magic of life.

The Shamanic Practitioners, Pathfinders, Elders and Followers of the Wolven Path Tradition, incorporate to the best of their ability these virtues in their practice, life and service.

The Tradition holds to the concept of the Creator Spirit; The One Above, which imbues the world with wisdom and love through the song of the Great Forest. That Spirit emanates Soul as a spirit song to manifest incarnate form and that all incarnate form is related by this original commonality.

That The Great Creator Spirit; The One Above, the Song of the Ocean to the Lightning, the song of the earth to the Stars in the Great Tree of the World is inherent in all teaching and action and is manifest profoundly in all relational process.
